A passionate advocate for music education, ms Zuluaga has over twenty years of teaching experience (private and public). In demand throughout the Bay area as a teacher and guide for young singers, she has served as faculty at Sage Vista School, Community School of Music of Mountain View, and music director at Colorful Universe, a singing ensemble that serves over thirty young singers. She is currently owner and founder of the "The Melody Train", a music school for very young singers, and is a licensed Kindermusik instructor offering a full Kindermusik program at her school. Her students have placed and received awards from many prestigious programs and competitions including the American Protege International Voice Competition, The American Prize, the Carnegie Hall Honors Program, the United States International Music Competition, the New York Lyric Opera voice competition, and NATS San Francisco Chapter. She also prepares students for the ABRSM and RCM music programs, many of whom have passed with distinction, and honors, most recently three receiving the RCM National Gold Medal, the highest winning award in the United States.
In addition to her experience teaching young voices, ms Zuluaga has twenty years of experience in the private voice studio, and has been invited to lead master classes at international festivals, colleges, and universities. Her passion for young audiences has led her to help develop and perform school concerts, music outreach programs, and she is a co-founder of Early Music In Motion, an arts organization that serves rural and underserved audiences of the state of Indiana.
She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the National Association of Music Education, The American Musicological Society and Early Music America.
